Prizes, Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Free Food
(Fort Myers, FL) Join The Salvation Army of Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties Saturday April 2nd for the Grand Opening Celebration of its newest Family Store at 1855 Boy Scout Drive in Fort Myers.
The Salvation Army canteen will be on site from 10-Noon with free food and beverages. In addition, you can register for giveaways including a flat screen TV and a stay at a Sanibel Island resort.
The Salvation Army uses proceeds from its stores to fund its Crossroads Program, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Fort Myers. Its success is extremely dependant on the sale of donations. You can help by shopping at a Salvation Army Family Store or by donating. Items needed include gently used high end clothing, shoes and household items. The Salvation Army also accepts cars, boats, trucks and motorcycles. Just call 1-800-SA-TRUCK.
The Salvation Army operates two other Family Stores in Lee County. They are located at 15418 S. Tamiami Trail in Fort Myers and at 4506 Del Prado Blvd. in Cape Coral.
