In Desperate Need of Donations
FORT MYERS, FLORIDA — All across the country, the famous Red Kettles of The Salvation Army are experiencing a lull in donations. Even here in Lee County, the Christmas fundraising efforts are down by 30%. For the next three days, The Army is asking that when people hear the tinkling of the bells in malls and shopping centers, please give what you can. No donation is too small. If all your Christmas shopping is completed, then give to the online Red Kettle by clicking here.
The importance of the Red Kettles not only help needy families at Christmas, but they sustain programs and services throughout the year – food pantry, medical clinic for the homeless, women and children’s shelter, and outreach community efforts.
Between now and Christmas Eve, The Salvation Army will have red kettles stationed at over 70 locations across Lee County:
Publix Grocery Stores
Edison Mall
Wal-Mart Supercenters
Bell Tower Shops
Wal-Mart Neighborhood Markets
Gulf Coast Town Center
Winn Dixie
Coconut Point Mall
Albertson’s
Walgreens
Belk’s
Sears Essential/K-Mart
Sam’s Club
